Can we harden the MapRoom like other buildings?

I won't call this a cheat, just a well known annoyance.  Sticking a GV inside the maproom to the point you really can't see the GV in there.  Every side is guilty of it, and its almost as bad as spawn campers.

Can the maproom be hardned so if a GV tries to phase inside of it, the are treated as if they hit any other building object?

Had an episode last night where troops are dropped, run inside, no capture...???...fly and zoom in some more and you can vaguely make out a Ostwind that has parked inside, mowing down troops as they step inside.

Tanks blow up when they run over building rubble; there's gotta be a way to make them do the same at the map room.

I've seen map tables sitting without the enclosing room above and around them. If they are entirely separate objects, you can set the collideability for the wall.

I've seen at least one map where the maker or arena CM made it so, and you couldn't pass thru the walls.

Either way, it looks like the AHII map room walls are part of the ground, so it looks like this problem's days are counted.

and btw, GV sentries parked on the map room are the same as mannable AAA, they're the more dangerous defense of the field and are gone before most everything else.

Your point is very valid, and I just done some test and found that this CAN be done very easily by the map maker, all my future maps will include this feature, in fact I feel a little stupid for not having thought of this myself. All you have to do is set the void (whitch is the dirt mound over the map table) to "can colide", the maproom still functions normally.

ok. but i was wrong about the AH2 (beta so far) map room walls being part of the new terrain shape system (little bumps and such); i thought that's what the walls were made of.

But anyway, it looks like a separate object, so it should still be useable as a material wall.
