don't think there is a way for us to smooth it out other than using the chase view....

this was one of my wishlist things for updates on the viewer for HTC....smoothing the flight path.

Try using chase view with pan mode, it seems to help somewhat.

1. Zoom to proper size you wish
2. for external
3. for padlock mode
4. for external padlock.

gives different results from F4 chase view, but cool.

This does not do anything for me other than give me the view... should it be locking on a target?

If you're refering to the final .avi here's a thought.  The process of rendering runs extremely slow e.g. maybe 7 frames per second.  Took me 40 mins. to render a 10 min sequence.  If you pan around or switch views while rendering they will be super exagerated when you play back the final .avi at 30 fps.  I would try to keep one view for at least 4 times longer than you want it to appear on the film e.g. if you want a 10 second chase shot then hold that chase shot for 40 secs while rendering.

With default key mapping:

Tab will select the nearest enemy (Icon will be boxed), shift Tab will select enemy nearest gun sight, control tab will select friendly.

Then press F11 to activate padlock. If the target is not in sight you will have to aquire it before padlock engages.

It works the same for internal/external views. If the target stays behind a canopy frame for more than a couple of secs, padlock is broken.

(I may have the shift and control modifiers backwards, but they're listed in setup/keymap/views  :)  )

However, when using the film editor, use the tab key (or combination thereof) to mark the target, then you can swap between padlock/internal/chase/external etc. with the radio buttons along the top of the viewer window.

Padlock in any external mode just obscures the ENY cuz the camera is on the opposite side of my plane trying to look through. Not much use.

Yep, ATI Radeon 128 card w/ video out into a VCR, tape it, run it back in to PC. Sure is a lot of work, but she be smooth. :)

I'm finishing up a music video right now, been playing with it for 3 weeks (50 different scenes, 8.5 gig of uncompressed AVI  ). I've got all the video editied together, gotta turn my mp3 into a wav file (Ozzy, Crazy Train (can't help I'm an old coot)), dub it with the video, run that AVI thru Realproducer and I'll be done. I forgot how big a pain making these things was. Been over a year since the last one I played with.
