Ronnie; Con Cost Question?
« on: July 05, 2000, 03:50:00 PM »
Ronnie;

I am hoping to go to the Con, However,...
I am planning on bringing Mrs. eskimo and baby eskimo.  I will not be bringing my computer, I just want to wander around, meet people, go to the airshow, and attend the banquet.  Is the price still $130.00?  Can Mrs. and baby eskimo do the walk around and look thing, and go to the airshow, at a reduced rate?

Thank you,
eskimo

The web page has a clickbox if you are bringing a Spouse, so my guess is yes.

BTW, the hotel morons try and put you in the big hotel where the banquet is, not the Con part of the hotel across the street. Then they tell you it's $120/night non-negotiable. Tell them to diddly off and give you the con rate in the right whoopee hotel.

P.S. Looking forward to meeting you. I hear baby eskimos bounce. :-)

Oh yeah, Ronnie, PLEASE make the Con room no smoking. I know that's unpopular (esp. with HT) but it ruined the WB con 3 years ago. The place was in a fog by the end.

Eskimo,

I will send you an e-mail outlining the spouse cost for the con.

Dosequis,

You will be happy to know that the con room itself is non smoking. Smoking is allowed outside of the con room in the foyer.

Has anyone else experienced any problems with the hotel regarding the con rate?? If so, please send me an e-mail so that I may rectify this situation.

Thanks,

Yankee

Yankee:

Could I get the spouse email as well. I registered and clicked the box and heard nothing about additional spouse charges.

LOL!  That was a sight...by the end, I think the visible separation between the smoke layer, and the layer that still contained oxygen was at about knee level!

HT was just doing you guys a favour.

Ever heard about Fog Of War? Well, he was simulating it

It isa said that in battle a mans brain turns into water and pours out of his ears.

Is this what the social scientists talk about when they say brain drain?

I got lots of questions and great insights

Now where is my WD40, I need my fix
