Gameport to USB question
« on: March 22, 2002, 04:50:02 AM »
I got the piece this morning!
(couldn't find the separate adaptor in this medieval country, so I got a 2nd Hand Gravis stick with the addaptor that comes with it for 20$)

So, if I get this right, I plug my CH Pro pedals (analog) to this USB adaptor & that's it ?
Will it recognise it as a separate device undr Windows(XP) ? Or do i need an extra software ? in any case, I could still attache the pedals to the Gravis stick, but I'd rather avoid that (enough cables already as it is...)

Cheers,

Try getting the USB version of the drivers.  Might work. (shrug)

Well, the CH Pro pedals (analog) don't use a driver (it's attached to a controler, adds an axis to it).
The PRO USB ones seem to use the controler software drivers. (tried attaching the analog pedals to the adapter, then tried mapping in the controler software...no go)

Tried attaching it to the stick I got the adaptor with (Gravis exterminator Dual control joystick)... it doesn't seem to support pedals (both in USB & analog mode), the checkbox is grayed out.

HELP !
