What Am I DOing Worng?

Joe;
I just did the following;
1. load ahf
2. set start and end points
3. clicked save to .avi
4. Got dialogue box asking for size and frame rate
5. selected size and frame rate and set ok
6. got Video Compression (Codec) dialogue box which defaults to uncompressed in a scroll box.
7. Opened scroll box and selected second Mpeg.

Stopped there cause only wanted to follow sequence to reply to you.  Try that.

Can you save as avi without making a selection? Are you using the save as avi button on the right or chosing it from the file drop down menu? Try this:

1. Open a film (do nothing else)
2. From the file drop down menu choose save as avi.
3. After choosing a codec let it run without selecting anything or pressing any keys.

Try the above with a short film to eliminate possibilities like low memory or hard drive space.

Here's some pics. At what point does yours not work?

1. Open file: .ahf (no pic)

2. Save as avi

3. Name file

4. Choose compression

I've forgotten how to post pics in page. Someone refresh my memory please?

Several times when I chose the save as avi after playing a portion of the film I got the name file dialog box as in step 3, however it didn't show the full path as in the pic I posted.

When this happened  it didn't convert to avi. Could this be what is happening? If not I'm at a loss. HT mentioned some fixes and additions to the film viewer with the next patch due this week. Hang in there.

BTW, how much memory and free hard drive space do you have?
