Hi guys.  I've adjusted flak leathality down a bit.  Let me know how it's working.

109s typically splode after about 4 puffs.
I spent a lot of time in the flack in a 109 last night.
Never took a hit.

I have always thought the CT aaa should be tweaked downwards. Its not the MA, and its nice to do Jabo runs and plan on surviving to rtb. Low level attacks should be hazardous, but not suicidal. This does bring up the topic of "vulching" but hopefully a balance can be made.

there less ack per foield on this current map 4 acks per small field.

there are areas of 88 and coastal ack but for the most part ack is a none factor out side of the cvs.

Even the factories have 2 ack and 2 88s. Come in lo kill the 2 ack first then the 88.

with the exception of the ju88 and tbm doesnt make sense to "jabo".

Even the 110 only has 2 x 250kg. Mgff doesnt damage structures like mg151 so you would expend all of ammo and still not destroy a fh.

Now in a group of 5 + 110 u can do some damage. I doudt you will see any allied jabo 303s would take a week to kill a fh.

so point is

we have way less ack to worry about then the main.

we have way less jabo capability then the main.

so jabo all ya want you'll be able to rtb and you will have to over and over to pin salamander the base to death.

I like this map. It just needs a few things redone to make it perfect......

Sorry, I wasnt commenting on just this map. I mean ANY CT setup, re: aaa lethality.

Its just no fun to try a low level run under radar, and attempt a single pass over a target only to be blasted by the first nick from a aaa position. Thats my point.

Good point Wotan!  Forgot about the 4 AA per field stuff.

Daddog, it was originally set to 1.0.  I set it to 0.06 per banana's suggestions (the setting used in Big Week), then finally settled at 0.1, as I realized this setting also affects the small AAA, not just the puffy ack.  At 0.06, field and ship light ack was having almost no affect (took 20 or 30 hits while in a PT boat, with no damage).  The main complaint was the puffy flak.  Unfortunately, the same setting affects all AAA.
