Ok, I know this sounds wierd but it is truthfull.
Whenever I take off in a Hurricane Mk I the engine will cut out for no apparent reason for like 1 or 2 seconds.  It is a full cut out, manifold pressure reads zero, oil goes to zero, and everything.  This is odd because it will not cut out whenever I have auto pilot engaged, only when I need the engine in a dog fight or something of that nature (IE trying to land the plane).  This sort of thing only happens with this plane, if I fly the F6F, P38L, or P47 this "engine cut-off" thing doesn't happen.
I could understand if I had gotten hit by something or had a damaged craft, but I've upped deep into my own territory and flown circles for like 3 minutes having the engine cutting in and out on me repeatedly, it seems to happen at completely random intervals, the only thing that can counteract it is by having Auto-Pilot engaged.  If you need to know my hardware setup I can give it, I'm just curios if this is something that is happening to many people or if it is just me having bad luck.  And how might I fix it?

 Does this happen with the spit mk1 as well?
Does it happen when pushing forward on the stick (Or going from climb to level etc)?

If so it is correct, The early spits & hurries had carbs not injection (That's why in films etc you see spits rolling over before going into a dive). The early 109's did not have that problem and could just push the nose forward and dive to try to lose a con.

Uhh, maybe not sure, I'll have to do some testing on it.  If that is the case, is there a way around it, so I stop loosing power???
Also, if that is the case, my hat goes off to the flight engine/model programmer, that had to have been a b**ch of a subroutine to programm.

Yeah, here's what you can do... roll over before you enter a dive. Don't pull [edit] negative Gs. That's about it ;)

Yes, the Spit 1 and Hurri 1 both have carbs that can't take negative G's without cutting out.  The "way around it", is simply not to push negative G's.  You'll have to roll and pull positive G's instead, or simply live with having your motor cut out. :)

That seems to be the case.  Thank you all for tolerating my stupididty.  I was not aware of the carb. situation.  Can someone give me the name of the programmer that did that?  Time and time again I keep being amazed by AH, I would like to take the time (and NO this is NOT sucking up) to thank all the programmers who put this thing together and keep updating it, this game ROCKS. (BTW: the programmer that did that gets a free bottle of Don Perion (I butchered that, I know) for programming carbs. into planes, that had to have sucked).
