Htc Stop Ignoring Me, I Need Help!

Sorry I had to do this, I made posts about this 4 times...and it still inst fixed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I noticed a few other people have posted this too, but i am gonna repost it. Almost everyone with a sidewinder has been having this problem. I am having it, and Soviet is having it.

Problem: During gameplay, the joystick will just stop working. In order to get it to work, i have to alt+tab. Unplug the joytick, plug it back in, and reinstall the drivers. By the time i have done all that, i have already been bounced, and probally am ded.

This problem started happing and patch 2. Plllllleeeeaaaasssseee release a patch ASAP.

BTW: I do have all the updated sidewinder drivers, and the latest windows USB patches installed

I have two sidewinder sticks, both of them work perfectly.  (Precision Pro 2 and Force Feedback 2.)  The only problems I've ever had with them is button 8 is not recognized in AH for the Precision Pro 2.

I know of at least 9 others in my squad and 1 other person with sidewinders with no problems.

What are you system specifications?  It could be a hardware issue with your specific system.  Have you recently added a USB mouse or keyboard to the system?  Try moving the joystick to another USB port, on it's own root hub if possible.

I'm not saying that AH is not to blame, but I and many others have no problems with our Sidewinders.

My joystick is only giving me problems in AH. No other game. I have already bought a new PC for AH and 2 New Joysticks...i dont feel like spending much more money on this game. The joysticks works excellent in all games, except AH.

Ok, so my stick is working fine now...except...It just doesn’t feel right. The controls are very very sensitive, then rudder isn’t smooth, and there is a 1-2 second delay for the stick to respond (This only happens in AH). Any suggestions?

Did something happen to bring it back? Are your running the software for the joystick? Have you treid to disable the software and just let ah control the stick? What operating system are you running?

If the issue that you are having now is the later half of the above statement then adjust your dampening fields in setup, and joystick.

I spoke too soon there. It worked fine for about an 1 hour, but then it started to not work again. I am running the lastest sidewinder software. Yes, i have disabled the software, but that didn't work. I am runnign windows 98. This problm only happens in AH. I can play other games with my Sidwinder for hours, but within 10 mins of AH, the stick goes crazy (ever sine patch 2)

The next time this happens, when you are flying around and the stick all of a suddend stops working and does what it is doing to you. Go into windows and see if the stick is still in there. Does windows still see the stick? Calibration and all looks good or does it show something different in there?

Yep, i have done that before. Windows does still see the stick when this problem happens. In fact, while AH is open (and the stick isnt working) , i can open other fight sims, and the stick will work fine in them.

have you tried reinstalling AH? Uninstall it, d/l the entire file, not just the latest patch and and install/congif AH from scratch

You don't happen to have 2 seperate installs of AH on your computer do you?  That will get you nothing but trouble.
