Dude, you should warn people if you are going to drop a major spoiler like that in your post.

The lightsaber level is nothing but puzzles because the puzzles are designed to demonstrate your new force powers - which makes sense.

There ARE a couple annoying puzzles though - don't worry - they start to become less and less frequent.

SEMI-SPOILER
I have started to run into the next level of bad guy after the Reborn - and they are TOUGH.

We should set up a server this weekend - I'm pretty much free all day saturday.

I'm on the level with the guy in the gold suit but I died trying to get out. :(

I guess I could cheat a little but I hate to.

For those who don't know how hit the ~ then type in devmapall.

god = god

give all = all weapons and power

noclip = fly thru walls

notarget = enemy doesn't see you
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

Since I haven't got to that part in the game, I would like to thank you for completely ruining the surprise.

If it makes you feel any better, it is early on, 8ball, so you don't have to wait very long to be dissappointed.

Mighty1 that took me a day or two to finally figure it out :D

:::SPOILER STRATEGY...DONT READ!!:::

Use a rocket launcher or something explosive to knock out his shield temporarily.  Once that is out, use Force Speed (F3, because its easier to get behind him), switch to a projectile weapon (Ell 1 Blaster Rifle works) or even your saber and knock that little 'stem' off.  That disables his shield all together.  He gets nasty after that and uses a pinkish laser that your saber cannot block.  Hide behind a pillar, get your health up, then wail on him in the chest region with the Imperial Repeater.  Heh, rogue squadron starts whomping on the ship just about then.. its tough to get out.

:::ok, done :::

Kratzer, is there any certain regular server you use?  Can anyone supply a private server?  I'm free on Saturday as well.  Any time from morning to about 5 pm.

got this game on wednesday and loving it!! :)

At first i thought it was a POS but the more i play it the more i like it.   The best thing about the game is duelling with the sith/jedi people.  The first time i met one i almost crapped my pants!!!   It was pure fluke how i killed him, i just did a flip over him and stabbed my lightsaber into his head as i went over.  It was sooo cool.:D

I've just defeated that fyar guy or whatever he's called- it took me about 5 attempts.  The first time i just ran up to him and tried to slice him up with my saber- i didn't last long heheh:D

Octavious you're right about the force grip, it's great.:)   I can't get enough of picking people up and throwing them against walls and stuff.

Just finished the game.  The verdict?  It is one of the most fun action games I've ever played - absolutely loved it!

I agree :D  ... But I kind of had a cheap shot to finish it.  Left me thinking "what?  wait that cant be it"  as the credits rolled :)

Aside that, I have a question about the display settings.  Sky, space, and background textures dont seem to display.  They appear a sort of white-ish color.  I know this because on the Caim installation, I looked outside and saw TIE Fighters and X-wings flying in a white background and no stars in sight.  I use GeForce Tweak and I'm still learning all the different options.  Any help would be appreciated

cheers

What is your setup, and what settings do you have for the game itself?

windows xp
athlon 1.2g CPU
GF3 Ti200
128 MB pc2100 ram

Basically everything for ingame settings is at max/high settings (very beautiful i might add).  I have volumetric shadows disabled though.. the shadows appear blocky and have sharp edges.

hmmm...

Maybe the OS?

I have a PIII 800, 387MB, GF3 Ti 200, Win ME - I run at 1280x1024, 32bit, details maxed/nearly maxed - no problems.

Hey Octavius, your vid card might be the culprit... I remember browsing through the forums at jediknightii.net and someone else had the same problem, there was another thread by one of the developers about performance issues with certain drivers and Nvidia cards... The BBS there is down right now but as soon as it's back up I'll try and find the threads and post the links.

Oh and you're right Oct, we do need to all get together some night for some rounds of JO, ;)

Ok the boards are back up here's the link from Raven, some of the detonators have trouble drawing black skies apparently
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36287

And here's the other thread with some possible fixes
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40430

Hope it helps

cool thanks Soulyss! :)  Switched to 23.11 drivers and all is good now.  I just hope I dont lose any performance in other games.
