Aces High Scale Models?

What are your favorite sources for scale models of WWII aircraft, especially those in Aces High?

After various Internet searches and a few purchases over the last couple years, I'm fond of Corgi metal 1/144 for larger aircraft, e.g., the Eastern Airlines DC-3 that used to come through my home town and now hangs in the Smithsonian, and the Classic Aircraft Collections replicas of the black plastic 1/72 I.D. recognition models the U.S. used in WWII.

The latter is the most comprehensive selection I've seen (originals hang in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum), but still lacks some Aces High favorites such as the La-7 and Yak-9.  It does have some lovely obscure ones, including float planes.

The Classic Aircraft replicas also are very pricey, e.g., $56 for a P-51D, $135 for a B-17 (but it is 1/72, not often used for large aircraft).

Surprisingly, I've found a few very limited (i.e., five or six) excellent flashy models in Toys R Us, mostly U.S. aircraft, and all made in China, some metal, some plastic.  They had a 1/48 series for a couple years, and this year just introduced some nice Matchbox collectibles in what seems to be 1/72 (scale not stated on box).

Have you found some additional sources you'd care to recommend?

Will Aces High ever expand into peripherals such 1/72 collectible scale models of the aircraft it revives in cyber?

The markings are often taken from ones in Osprey Aircraft of the Aces books and those ones also show up in after market decals so its pretty easy to build the planes we have.

Dazzling collection, Pongo.  For my needs, however, I don't have the patience or inclination to resume building models, and with limited space I go more for the 1/72 and smaller.  I also prefer the heft and feel of metal models.

I finally took the new Matchbox Collectibles out of their equally excellent boxes, and am dazzled by them.  Wouldn't expect that kind of quality from Toys R Us airplanes, but it's there, and only about $20 each.

I got the P-51D, F4U-1A, and P-38J, and they are genuinely impressive.  I might have to go back and get the other three in the series so far:  Hellcat, Spit I, and P-40.

Check this new series out.  I've never seen anything better in non assembly models, especially for the price.

Toys r Us sells plastic replicas for "Ultimate Soldier" all are 1:18 scale and not bad in terms of exterior looks.

Used to have only the P-51, but I have seen a 109, F4U and P-38 for sale recently. All are less than $50 IIRC.
