Dot dar update rate
« on: April 08, 2002, 08:58:25 AM »
Popped in to the CT, and noticed that the dar update rate was set the same as the MA.  I thought the low update rate setting was a big improvement over the MA AWACS.  Wondering why it was changed....

Dot dar update rate

Actually, the current setting is the norm in the CT.  I used a longer radar range with longer update intervals for the Battle of Britain set up, but didn't change it for this set up.  Hence, we have 10 mile dot-dar range with 35 or 50 (can't remember off top of my head) mile bar-dar range.  The settings I used in the BoB setup were a concession to the terrain.  However, I'm glad you brought it up.  I might just crank the range for dot-dar up a bit but increase the update interval too.  Let me ruminate on it a bit:).
