Cockpit gauges
« on: April 12, 2002, 01:09:31 AM »
This maybe be a bad idea or it maybe a good one.
Maybe we be able to move our gauges around in the cockpit.
Some gauges sit right behind the text buffer in some planes while in others you can't see em. (well you can if you zoom all the wa out. but then the gauges are fuzzy) I don't if this would helpful or not.. In fight you don't have time to hit ctrl D to see whats hit (i hate to fly with that list up during the fight it gets in the way)
Shit I just got home from school and I'm bored just had to post something!!

So just tell me what yall think.

move the text buffer

you can also set a head position set to like the 8 key that will move your head down to see the gauges. thats what i do.

You can also map the damage to a button on your joystick for better convenience.  You might try adjusting the transparency of the message buffer too.
It would be impossible for you to move the guages, btw.  They are part of the 3d model.

I have tried moving toe text buffer qround only good place is where it started with. Is it possible for me to change the text color?? If I could have a bright color I could turn the text background thing clear. Heheheheh flew the soit for the 1st time the other day. And I couldn't read the gauges it wouldn't let me zoom to very far. then I noticed you don't need the gauges just point the nose oin what ever.. Man HTC yall should get rid of the spits for a day or two to make the people try a harder.

--- end ---

Make 'em seperate objects and HT implements a pick mode and voila! I agree it's more work than it's worth.
