Stall Horn

I've been here before, but I have problems with stall horn. It causes frame rate loss and loss of FF. Anybody else get this?

I have an Audigy Player under WinXP

XP1800
512MBDDR
GF3 TI500
MSI KT7266 PRO
21.83DRV
DX8.1
Old style MS FF tick (gameport)

rename the wav file and see what happens
I have the volume set to 0
