'Self Sealing Fuel Tanks' ?

Some suggestions on fuel leak representation.

First, it'd be nice if the fuel leak stops when one fuel tank is totally emptied. With planes that had multiple fuel tanks, wouldn't the white leakage stop when that certain punctured tank is finally dry?

Second, I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it'd be nice to see some planes have self-sealing fuel tanks. I don't know how that factor is modelled in AH(or even if it's there at all), but it'd be quite nice to see planes stop leak fuel. Different attributes with different planes should be fun :)

Third, is there 'fire triggered by bullets' phenomenon in AH? I'm not entirely sure how fires are supposed to start in AH planes. Does it start arbitrarily? or if a certain amount of damage was done to the fuel area?? Can fires start from engines? Currently, the only instances of fire I've seen are mainly the rear fuselage areas and wing roots.. It'd be cool to be able to light a plane up in fire when it is leaking fuel :)

yeah, nice line of fuel, shoot some tracer rounds at it and watch the flame go into the plane, that would look cool

I'd settle for having the zeke blow up after 11 seconds like every other plane that catches fire. Damn deep fried meatballs... *grumbles* ;) :D

add the 110 to the zeke Tac....  it also burns alooong time.

I've set fire to buff engines in AH but never noticed fires from anywhere else but the engines...

I'd venture a guess that the damage model already to some extent at least takes into accound self sealing fuel tanks.  Planes without them (ie the Zeke) seem to be  much more prone to getting fuel leaks than other planes.

I would like to see graphics reflect when the fuel tank in question runs dry from a leak as well.
