Its a test plane [Im doing all of these from memory lol} developed to test a new kind of prop-jet the propelers where hooked dirrectly to the compressor blades and the whole thing was meant to be super sonic,BUT it was not, not only that but at idle speed the propelers produced sonic booms that caused the ground crews to be VIOLENTLY ILL even when severl hundred yards away from it,,,if im correct it also had a wing that was thicker it the extreme tip,,northrop I think ahh hell just tell me im right and get it over with, lol.
