Joystick setup question
« on: April 15, 2002, 03:12:58 PM »
I have a MS Sidewinder 3D joystick, non-force feedback.  Other than configuring a couple of buttons and the hat for various views I have done nothing in the stick setup.

What are the other things that can be done in stick setup and how will this benifit?

Thanks very much,
Spritle

Whatever you hate using a keyboard command for is handy on the joystick buttons.  I have and up and down view mapped so that I can look almost 360.  I have flaps on the stick, and have a second stick setup for vehicles so that I can use buttons to upshift and downshift.

Yeah I've got some view buttons programed, but I was talking about the deadband and stuff like that.

Thanks,

I have attached my stick.cfg file, it's a standard one that someone else had posted some time back, it works excellent, the credit is due someone else.  Just unzip it into your htc\aces high\settings folder.  Just rename your stick.cfg to stick.bak first, just in case you don't like this one.
