Apache, try posting another 974 more posts.  By then you might get noticed   ...As you can see I've got a few more hundred posts to go  ...

Apache...
start your post with an insult...that usually gets interest..
or a fake annoucement of a new version..
talk about your pet maybe..
Something like this
"Ack Staring Chute Shooting dweeb with pet raccoon live at AH chat"...
that will bring em in..
or you could flatter HTC a bit...people always jump in to support that.. (and lobby for planes...)
There are other tactics to be heard but these are a good start..

My pet frog got squeeshed badly today

<First paragraph could go like this...>

Today while attending the veterans luncheon, my pet frog roosevelt hopped out of my pocket and got squished by a trailways bus...

<and so on, maybe throw in that hes on life support, and might lose a leg, that'll get the replies!  >

I just checked it out, it's a nice site.  Somehow I must have missed the post about it though?    I try to read everyone's posts, so I don't know how I missed this.  I'll try to stop by during the day to see if anyone is there.  (Wasn't anyone at 2:30 Am PST, but go figure.   )

When I check this board every morning It can take me from 20 mins to half an hour just to read it. I dont ignore anyone but dont really have the time to respond every where I would like. I actually hate UBB, would pay an extra 5 bucks a month for a usnet group

Hangtime and Pongo I laughed so hard I cried.

Apache, nice site!

However I personally get quite enough chat while in the arena.

Apache;

Try posting up this thread "We Need a Padlock View (No Whiners Please)"

Then keep your head low.

Apache, if you really want a chat room to work, you have to organize and mediate some discussions.  This communitee is way to small to "drop in".  Try arranging a night of "Wingman Tactics", or "Guns Defense", or a free for all "Design Session".  The first sessions may be slow, but who knows, maybe that was the way Jackedin.com started?

Oh and if I try and get into the chat, I get the following error:

Trying TCP connection to memberchat.xoom.com:8900 ...
>> The remote machine has accepted the network request ... please wait.
Disconnected:
This user name requires a password.  Please enter the correct password or
- pick a different user name.

Tried a few, but no go.  I also got something about a last menu error.
