What was the exposition?
If it was taken with a camera in hand - I simply can't believe. It's like meeting a dinosaur on a Red Square. Catching a lightning in at best 1/30 second exposition - i can call it impossible.
If it was taken with a static camera and an open lock, diafragm set to 16 or 22 - then again you are extremely lucky to get such a nice composition.
I bet it's not a new-fangled automatic plastic camera, but a good old mirror non-auto or semi-auto. But... Well, a central lock will make this possible with any exposition, while the horisontal curtain lock gives you only one short moment with 1/30 exposition, and vertical - with 1/60...
What was the camera model, film, exposition and diafragm? I was a b/w photo maniac at the high school, and still can tell you exp/diafragm for any conditions and can print 3 b/w photos per minute with an ordinary magnifier.
