Airshows?
« on: April 17, 2002, 11:30:04 AM »
Anyone know of any decent Airshows in either NY, NJ, CT, or PA?

Or maybe there is a good websight that covers these areas?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I know there is one coming up on June 1st at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA.

Thunderbirds, etc.

I work on this base, and the buzz is that because of 9-11, there is not going to be any on-base parking, just shuttle buses from neighbouring towns... sounds like a freaking nightmare to me. I'm going to see if I can just "stay at the office" through friday night and get there early

I know it's a bit further than you wanted to go... But the Dayton International Air Show is always great.
Here is a link to the website:  http://www.usats.org/

Dayton Also has an unbelievable Air Force Museum :  http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/

I may be (just a little) biased, but with the air show and the museum, I think it would be a great place for the con some day.

World War II Weekend in Reading, PA is June 7-9.  You really want to make this.  Go here:  http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html

Thunderbirds are coming to, of all places, Millville, NJ, where they ran P-47 training in WWII.  Go here:  http://www.p47millville.org/

Usually the Reading Air Show (different from WWII Weekend) is in September.
