CH USB Rudder pedals
« on: April 22, 2002, 09:13:05 PM »
I just bought a CH USB rudder setup tonight

however getting it to work in AH isnt going too well

the CH control manager seems clunky and when i program it, windows will not calibrate the controller right

what are the steps i need to take to program my rudder pedals to control rudder (duh) and the toe brakes to work for the individual wheel brakes in AH?

i am also using a Saitek X36 combo as well

Thanks in advance

Go to Sim HQ

Download the external rudder pedal fix.
Theres a readme in there that tells u how to load it etc.
Remove all divices.
Do the saitex driver fix first & setup saitex.
Then if u have the ch manager installed just plug in the peds.
I Have never used the manager as I just program the pedals in the game (didnt think usb needed calibrating) this will put saitex as device1 & pedals as device 2. If you dont put them on in order AH will think the pedals are the main joystick & you will have to mess about alot changing things.
You need the pedal fix or the pedals will just not work with an X36.

i tried not using the clunky control manager and just used the ingame setup

all i have to say is wow! wicked easy to set rudder input, then when i was just about to ask how i could set up toe brakes (figured it'd be an on/off thing) there was another setting for that!

wicked sweet stuff!

i wanted to have a reason to call htc and shoot the toejam though. guess i'll have to find something else to break :)
