Go Kings Go!
« on: April 23, 2002, 12:33:42 AM »
Great game tonight. After game one and game two, all the talking heads were saying the same thing.

The difference is Forsberg."

Well... tonight, the Kings got all sorts of physical on Forsberg and won the game 3-1.

Again... "The difference is Forsberg."

It's going to be a long series for Peter I think. Boucher was so deep into his head that he wasn't playing his game at all. The Kings have found the chink in the armor. Hit him and hit him hard. By game five, he'll wish he had another spleen to lose.

Oh... and the Allison, Palfy, Deadmarsh line completely shut down Sakic's line. Was really hoping Palfy would grab the trick tonight.

Really... the only downside to the King's game tonight was Schneider. Two stupid penalties and then that goal right in from of him while he exchanged recipes with a Colorado player...

Tomorrow is going to be another great game.

"We played physical all year but in the playoffs that increases," Boucher said. "That's the way Forsberg wants to play, he wants to hit you. He's one of the strongest guys in the league. He's not only a skill player, he's a tough guy. We talked a little bit out there. I got him good a couple of times and he wanted to get me back."

"It was tough out there and I got a little frustrated," Forsberg said. "I have an edge to my skating. It's tough when they're holding you and you can't get away. I'm sure that was there game plan."
