How does this one compare to the Zeke we already have?

Slower, more maneuverable, lower ammo load, perhaps better climb (not sure).

In addition, I believe the 20mm cannon in the A6M2 fires at a slower rate than the ones in the A6M5.

Now, the A6M3 would also be interesting.   It had clipped wings and so a faster roll rate, and I think it had those faster-firing cannon, too.

The New Zero is more than a match for any of it's historical counterparts, Wildcat,P 40, Huricane....

The cannon on the New Zero is the 20mm Type 99 model 1, it was a lower MV of the Type 99 II in the Zero we already have ( same cannon as in the N1K2-J Type 99 model II) yet it fires the same projectile, so it will hit as hard. The reasion being that the Japanes almost always fired predominately HEI rounds in their guns, even their rifle calber guns.

BTW I sinceraly hope they do not model a kate or a val, I would rather see a Grace than either of those too, howeaver if they do all three it would be cool.:)

have you gone insane? :)

think of all the previous set ups where japan has used the tbm as a sub.

Ofcourse we want a kate and a val and a judy and grace and ki43 and ki84 and whole bunch of others.

I hate using substitute aircraft in events and ct
model every plane between 1930 to 1946 :)

Yay!!  Saburo Sakai's A6M2.  That's the right color scheme for sure.

This is not all true.  The Type 99 I and Type 99 II do not use the same ammo.

The Type 99 I has a metric calibre of 20 x 72RB. The muzzle velocity is 550-600 meters per second.

The Type 99 II has a metric calibre of 20 x 101RB.  The muzzle velocity is 750 meters per second.

Essentially the Type 99 I is the same gun as the MG/FF on the Bf109E-4.  They have nearly identical ballistics and are both limited to 60 rounds do to their drum feed mechanism.  Both the MG/FF and Type 99 I are heavily based on the Oerlikon FF.

The Type 99 II was based on the Oerlikon FFL, which also allows the A6M5 and N1K2 to have much greater ammo supplies due to its belt feed mechanism.

Kewl plane! :)

I love it when HTC adds more targets to the arena menu! :D

The Zeke is a challenging target, unless of course you drop your speed, then you become the target!  But that is true of any plane :)  Ya know, get low, get slow, get dead! LOL! :D

Those Zekes sure are pretty though! :)
