Dropped by to play "The Blitz of 44" last night, and couldn't tear myself away. From the initial description (see other thread) I thought it sounded a little fanciful and gave too much of an edge to the Axis.
Well, after having my arse handed to me several times by the Tempests and Spit XIVs, I changed my tune! And the fact that this is so fanciful is what makes it immensely fun. Trying to get a fully loaded 190 off a carrier (not to mention back on again), Arados as numerous as Niki's in the MA. . . it's all good. And when I finally stopped thinking "My G-6 will conquer all", and actually started thinking and fighting, the chance to win big perkies knocking down the Tempests and Spit 14s!
Well done buzzbait et al. The CT lately has really been making creative and intelligent use of the planeset that we have; can't wait to see how it grows and deepens as HTC adds more.
