i took typing on a manual typewriter, i could hit about 40 but i had so many errors that i would only get credit for about 25.

btw hblair the method you use is called
the Columbus method- find it and land on it.

heh, I learned to type in 5th grade on an Apple IIe.  They had this space invader game where spaceships flew straight down at you and you'd have to hit the correct letter quickly to shoot it down.  I forget what it was called... pre mavis beacon era for sure.  I've tried to learn dvorak layout so i can type even faster but asdf jkl; is hard-wired into my brain.

Learning how to type on computers/typewriters was the only good thing i got out of highscool :)

They removed the letters on the keys so we had to learn it :)
