In between driver swaps, clean out with http://guru3d.com/detonator-destroyer/
Also, what's your AGP Apature size in BIOS? Are you running AGP 4x or 2x? Try 128 for AGP Apature, and if you are at 4x AGP, try going down to 2.
Yep, that's some crappy RAM. Of all the things in your system, never scrimp on the RAM or the monitor I say.
I will buy nothing bur Crucial after much experience. Yep, it could cause a problem. What sort of timings are set up for it in the BIOS? If you are driving it too hard it could cause all kinds of wacky problems.
I'll try the 23.11's. I've been using detonator destroyer. I'm running AGP 1X, but 2X works as good or better at times. I've been running 128 aperature, but I've tried every setting.
I've got the GeForce tweak program and I'm using the Super Socket 7 compatibility settings.
I pulled the two 64MB sticks out, one of the 64MB sticks and the 256MB stick are "spectek". Definitely the cheap stuff. I'm running it at CAS 3 and "Normal" instead of "Fast" or "Turbo".
Strangely enough, it seems that slowing things down makes it worse, at least at times.
Should be going to Windows 98 SE later in the week. And may be getting some decent PC 133 next week. But I'm going out of town next week to work on a race car.
Thanks again.
