Point systems.......

Hey all,
I got a bone to pick with this point system. Today I took up a G-10 to patrol around our HQ because there was a con in it. I figured that If it was a bomber and I killed it good way to get good points if I killed and landed. WELL that was the wrong thing to do. I climbed up to 25k killed the Lancaster and landed perfectly. I was all excited cause i figured I would atleast get 5 points for the kill. Well again wrong thing to think. I got .91points for the kill. It makes no sense to give such little points for that when you give 4.00 points for a G-10 killing a F4U. So please either fix the point system or lower the cost on theses planes. I know I am not the only one that thinks this.  I say the cost for each should be no more then 40 points because its a waste to fly up to 25k and kill a lancaster and only get .91 points when you need atleast 50 for the 152.

Do you really get 4 points in a 109G10 for killing a Chog??  I dont think you are right on that count.  If you are, I agree that the number of perkies for killin a Chog is too great and/or the number for killin the Lanc is too few.

BUT...I dont think you get 4 perkies in a 109G10 for killin a Chog.

this is no longer a game of air combat and acm but simply a game of perk point strategy.  a WWII everquest.  What a joke.

The perks should and most likely will be adjusted to reflect the difficulty of a most common situation. That will still leave a lot of unfairness like in real life.

A WWII pilot got credited with one air victory wether he killed a single damaged out-of-ammo Bf109 on landing with gear and flaps down or in the real combat with 2 to 1 ordds against.

Would you really prefer to face a single F4u  rather then a single Lanc ten times (4 points vs. 0.4)? Of course - the single Lanc (which in AH is either flown or defended) was a guaranteed kill for a fighter with almost no risk. Of course AH pilot worries about his time more then his life - hence it seems that a kill of a Lanc should be rewarded more just for climbing.

How about Lancs flying in a box? they would be much harder to kill then a single one for the same reward. But how common are the well-coordinated boxes of Lancs in AH?

So do not expect the perk points to solve all your problems. If they contribute to the better side balancing and smarter flying (with intent to lend) i would be very happy.
