HOTAS Cougar: Where the hell is it now?

Just got this from the vendor I ordered from....

-------------------

Thank you everyone for your patience.  I know it can be difficult not knowing what is happening with the Cougar.  We just got off the phone with our distibutor.  Official word is Hercules (Guillemont aka: Thrustmaster)will begin North American distribution on May 17.  Our best guestimate for receiving our Cougars is May 23, and we switched which warehouse we were getting them from to receive them that quickly. Cougars will ship the same day we receive them (provided we receive them before 3PM EST).

We have increased our Cougar order to 15 and we should be getting all 15 at the same time so no one will need to wait!

 8^)

Again thank you for your patience.

My condolances Midnight.  Somehow that "begin distribution" date of the 17th doesn't quite explain why mine left Sacramento this morning en route for Portland.

Hehehe.. the funny thing is that SOB's will probably have to come up to PDX then back down to lowly Salem... while mine is en-route to the front door.

Unfortunately I could only go by what my distributor told me.  He said as far as he knew, Hercules was not starting distribution before May 17.  That doesn't mean that FS Central and a few others had not worked out some other arrangement with TM prior to this...

FSC, Chips & Bits, and Amazon.com have had these on pre-order for months (nearly a year!), so I would guess this paid a big roll in them recieving a share of the initial shipment to the US.  From what Aaron at FSC is saying, it sounds like their next shipment coincides with your first, but it will still go (at least partly) to filling their pre-orders.

BTW...DJ, I got mine at 1:18pm on Wednesday...when did yours show up?  :)  (Suprisingly it made a reasonable course here, Reno > Sacramento > Roseburg > Salem)
