...what was your handle in WB?

Also, what virtual squadron did you fly with the most?

You seem like a nice guy but I don't really recognize you from WB what version did you start playing?

p.s. Sorry about not getting back to you I just saw your reply to the 'M8 AP' thread.

Well don't feel bad, there WERE beers involved :D

Couple of years back in San Jose Ca. for a going away party for Juve at the Brittiania Arms pizza parlor. Had a good group, must of been twenty of us. Daddy was in town from Washington, long discussions of Point Blank....beers, oh and later, beers.....and.. and.. 6 foot 6, about 225 with a goatee sitting on your left trying to get to the pitcher before.. DAMM

Did some emails on 190 tactics..

Started flyin WB 97 or 98 when you were still about. I was coming in, you were on the way out. Started with the EZ Targets and a couple of years ago hooked with Vadr and JG 2 'Richthofen' and have been with them ever since.

And bizket I do truly suck :D

But learned maybe 3 years ago that REAL men fly 190's, not that other wussie scrap metal available ;)

And leather WORKS for me :)

You've still never answered that question about that Pegasus dude.

Well, if the only time I met you was at the Britania Arms...that goes a long way towards explaining why I don't remember you. :)

What you described is what I though...as you were getting into WB I was getting out. About the last time I really played WB seriously (as in practicing and training in addition to having fun, etc.) was for the 'Stranglehold' event but man what a way to go out it was alot of fun.

-ik- and stig had been around about 1 year when I left. Those were the last of the 'new' 'LW' guys in WB that I really remember, along with pjk and the JG 3 guys who I really really liked playing WB with.

I think 'pegasus' was some guy from the UK or somewhere else who was in a RAF type squadron and got a new ID to fly Fw 190s. I was not 'pegasus'. I've had a ton of handles in WB. I really liked flying incognito sometimes - it taught me alot about different WB 'personalities' - some people are only nice to people in an online game if they consider them to be 'good' or 'popular' - they are total jerks to new guys because they need to be 'senior' somewhere and flaunt it to make themselves feel good and sadly for them the only place they can be senior in live is in a game.

Other people are total gentlemen to everyone, *especially* those they perceive as 'new to the community'. Like the time I got a 2 hour P-38 lesson from =vila= because I said I was new to WB and wanted a wingman. Don't get me wrong I would have told him who I really was but the 5 times before when I did every Flying Pig knew the next day and then all of WB knew within a week. :)

Mostly incognito was fun because there were certain blowhard as*holes (to put it lightly) who talked alot of trash but never had the nerve to stick in a 1 on 1 in the MA and 'put up or shut up'. It can be very ammusing to shoot down a guy in WB who becomes furious because of the 'embarrasment' of being shot down by a 'no name'.

Enjoy AH nopoop. I really like it. I think it's the best game in town by far for WW2 A2A (disclaimer: I haven't played Il-2 yet, I'm sure I'll like them both). I love the weapons options, the drop tanks, etc., etc., etc. If you want to try something fun (albeit time consuming) use a Bf 109G-10, 3cm spinner only and a drop tank and patrol the front lines at 25,000' defending your side against level bomber attacks.

Maybe only 1 good fight an hour, but that fight is you vs. 2 or 4 good high alt escorts (P-47s or P-51s) and a couple of bombers. Damaging an enemy or two and getting one kill and getting home safe feels like a good sortie in a historical event. A good occasional change of pace from 'climb to 10,000' and kill everything chasing lazs'. :)

From what I've seen the events guys in AH are really really good. I flew in some Baltic event (LW vs. RN aircraft) and it was pretty damn fun. Great maps.

As soon as I get back to computer and a stick that can handle AH I'll be back.

:)

-ik- when I was a newbie did his classic, I think we were at 25k when he finally said "nopoop do you want to do this all night ??" and reversed on me. Great guy.

IL-2 is a hook, JG 2 has 11 so far committed to doin co-ops. Just haven't got a meeting day sorted out.

pjk is still kickin about. Left for awhile but he's been back of late.

But you must remember me way back when. Quite a few of my butts are on your wall ;)
