Each to their own.
Its okay to make games where countless soldiers die horrible deaths but its not okay to make games where civilians die?
yep
Why do the lives of "innocent" people count more than the lives of soldiers?
they don't "count more"
Is it really so honorable to play any violent sim?
nope (is it *honorable* to play a game at all??)
Why do people find it so offensive to make jokes about "terrorist" actions but not global wars?
because one is personal and not an act of war, and the other isn't. It has to do with a sense of "fairness" I guess.
Were the millions of lives lost in WW2 disrespected by the countless books, games, tv shows, and movies that have exploited their tragedy?
I dunno, were they ?
I see little difference between simulating WW2 combat, playing Atari Frogger, and this little joke game: they are all digital and in some respect involve virtual deaths.
I agree, these are games or simulations that involved virtual deaths.
Make no mistake
I'm so freaking tired of "make no mistake" can't anyone think for themselves??????
real lives are infinitely valuable, but video games, however offensive they may be to some people, are just video games.
They are just video games. Even the offensive ones.
I find this one offensive and I have tried to explain why after someone misunderstood my intentions and position.
