It would be cool if we could get these to show up on the clipboard map.  Just click a button (like the buttons for "names" and other stuff) and it toggles circles which show the extent of radar coverage for each field.

I wasn't thinking of using it in flight, just for mission planning.

There was radar jamming in WWII.

chaff was invented in WWII and used quite often.

HiTech, Please add Chaff to the B17 payload.

Thanks!

Yeah.  To use it you have to go to one of the waist gunner positions and continually hit your "Fire Secondary" button for the duration of the time you want to show the false image.  ;)

Actually, it would encourage the use of misdirecting routes for buffs.

I can picture it now...

Each chaff "bomb" would fall to the ground at the same rate as a parachute.. and it would show up as 1 enemy a/c in the bar and dot dar.

So we can get 2 lancs at 30k with their 50 -chaff bombs dropping one every minute... and making every defender in an enemy country up to defend their HQ from the HORDE of enemy a/c coming in... they get up there and see only 2 lancs. And lotta chaff.

Meanwhile, they lose all their front fields.

SWEET. :)

I remember this from F117 Stealth Fighter game.

Also wouldnt mind a simple radar detector light on the dash that shows you are being painted.
