A good stick with a weird problem. HELP!

This was sent to me, any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I'm really fustrated with AH.  It seems my first mission is fine but following missions I don't see any aircraft at all...I mean I chase dots around and follow them on the radar but it is like I'm all alone in the world.  I wish I could show you what I mean so you don't think I'm crazy.  All I get to do is strafe ack because it is the only thing that sees me and that I can see.
 
I'm going to un-install and reinstall tonight and see what happens...sorry to loose my joystick mapping tho :(
 
Hope I can get this figured out or I'll have to give it up.

i had that weird problem after 1.09 patch 2 came out- i'd chase and chase a dot, never getting to con range, but not dumping for a long time either... it went away on it's own iirc, unless i fixed it by....

a) reinstalling dx8.1
b) reinstalled vid drivers

i can't really remember how/what why... but if reinstalling AH, or trying a/b above don't work.... it might just be the wonky connex lately.

You may want to try posting this in the Technical Support Forum.  That way it doesn't get lost amidst all the crap being posted in this forum lately.

HTC checks that forum regularly and should be able to help you out.

he can save his joystick settings by copying his settings folder. this will save all his views etc.....

Just bac up the original when he reinstalls before pasting them bac. Just in case the problem is in his settings folder now.
