Faced with a HO... Good question.
Inquire politely about hourly and daily rates? Ask for guild watermelon and local license? Call my homies and hope da pimp don't show before we're done?
Actually, I try to make a lead turn crossing from side to side under the HO aircraft's nose, forcing them to bunt and roll if they want to take the shot. If I can't do that (vert HO or too slow on the deck), I put the pipper on, trim for stable nose track, and open fire starting at 1200 yards. Slightly BEFORE the "last second", I cross-control to try to skid out of the way to avoid the collision while still shooting, on the theory that if he explodes before I get there, I can't hit him
