I sooo wanted the Val.  In  fact, I'm a pretty happy camper right now.  Once upon a time, I had my "short list" of desired airplanes in my .sig.  They were:

P-40
D3A
F4F
B5N

and a map of Oahu.

NUTTZ has taken care of the last, HTC has taken care of the first three.  If they get to the Kate, fine, if not, fine.

People fly the Me109E-4 in MA

+ People fly the Hurricane IID in MA

+ People fly the TBM in MA

= People WILL fly the Val in MA

Usefullness dosen't matter

Variety and fun are the key words

I didn't ask for it, but i surely won't whine.
It's a good addition for the japanese plane set wich did not have much planes so it is very right to do.

Useless or not that depents on the pilot in it IMHO
Any guy/girl saying it's useless is just an unskilled dweeb with no imagination (wich comes together with the brains).

gee rip... you mean that they wouldn't take my money at WB?   Or maybe yu mean they would what??? be mean to me??   Geeze they no doubt think you are a bigger ahole over there than they do me.   You look like a vapid cheerleader to em.

And who gave you or funked the right to define what the MA is?  You are entitled to your opinion but... Using your own logic.. shouldn't you let the designers decide what the MA is?

There are ways to let the early war planes in the MA and still have parity and still allow everyone to fly any plane he likes.   The "area" arena idea is one way.  Maps that toggle between seperate MA's is another..

I would imagine that HTC has given the matter some thought of their own and have some ideas on how to do it.   I can't imagine that they would leave a whole period of WWII out of the MA.

The Val doesn't pack much of a punch, but I do see it as being a viable aircraft to defend a vulched field when all the FH's are down yet bombers are still able to up.  Get someone with you to gun in the back and with its maneuverability, I'm guessing we may see it used as such at times.

I'm anxious to see what it'll be like in the MA flying the F4F or P-40.  Another guess of mine is that I won't be able to go too deep into enemy territory but I can probably deal with a near fight with a lot of friendlies involved.  Anyone dares to slow down with me to turn with me and WHam!, someone else will get him.

I'm really glad to see some early-war Pacific aircraft.
