Hi all
I deleted a rather large folder today so it didn't end up going in the Recyle Bin. I then remembered that I had a sub-folder in there that I wanted to keep (some WWII B&W jpeg images). It's no big deal if I have lost it but it would be nice if I could restore that folder and it's contents.
So, I've tried using System Restore but it only restores the Folders and not the contents. As the files were deleted from a partitioned drive there is no way that the new empty space will be written over, well, I don't think so anyway!
I'm using Windows XP Pro.
Is there a particular method or special program you can use to search for the tag-less files and is there an easier way to search for certain file types or would you simply have to restore the whole lot? I understand that it's only the extension that's been deleted until the disk is overwritten so all the data should still be there.
Thanks!
