Help with hills, and sights in the Ostwind
« on: May 12, 2002, 09:01:21 PM »
It seems that even slight inclines are almost impossible for my Osty to climb.  Even in low gear. :(

What do ya do to climb hills?  My Ostwind just won't go up most hills in any gear.  Seems that most juicy targets have a hill or so between the spawn point and where you wanna go.

Also, anyone have a really great Ostwind gunsight, or some films of shootin down planes???   I can't hit much with those potato slugs unless it is head on. :(

What you have to do to get up hills is go in 1st gear and push forward on the stick, u should go about 7 MPH.

Here's the gunsight I use:

Widoslyer...what you do to change a gunsight is go to setup gunights and than pick the gunsight on the left you want hit change gunsight and than hit OK and it will work.

Thanks for the sight, I will try it :)

I find too many hills where you can't move up them at all even in 1st gear.  They seem no too steep a grade, but even on a gentle grade the osty only does about 3 -4 mph in low, and it stops if you try to shift gears. :(

Often you can go faster up hills by going backwards

I know what your feeling. I think they should make the roads give better traction or somethng.
I lke the ground a game a lot,but it seems to me that gvs are at a disavantage, or are at least underrated.  :(

Try going perpindicular to the grade, trying to climb a hill at an angle doesn't work too well in AH :/ Try Torquilas Osty sight, works well for air and ground targets.

try taking the hills at an angle. when my pz starts to slow down on a hill, i bear off to left or right, like a switch back rd going up a mountainside
all you fascists, you're bound to lose...
