Where are they really aiming? They are shifted to the right, but not the guns. Is the center of these sights horizontally aligned with a particular point only at convergence? Were they shifted to aim with the right eye only while keeping the head centered? Actually are we flying these planes with the head shifted to the right, like looking with both eyes through that gunsight?
What was the head possition in the real thing? Were the pilots shifting their heads to the right before aiming? Was that sight perfectly aligned with the right eye?
