The Polish campaign 1939
« on: May 06, 2002, 05:40:36 AM »
Hello there forum.
I am looking for information regarding the history of the Polish campaign. Everything appreciated, links, pictures, aces information etc.
Here is something:
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Ulf Balke's two-part history of Kampfgeschwader 2 "Holzhammer" covers KG2's involvemnet in Poland in the first book. It's written in German, mind.  Gives many first-hand accounts of action in all the places KG2 was involved in.

"Der Luftkrieg in Europa" 1939-1941 is the title, Bechtermunz Verlag, 1997, ISBN 3-86047-591-6
