Hitech and the rest of the staff need a vacation...
« on: December 16, 2001, 08:28:00 PM »
They've just released version 0.94 of AHVoice on a SUNDAY?!?!?

Instead of asking for bribes of scotch, why not as for a nice vacation where scantly clad women ask you what kind of martini you want at 9am at the swimup bar, where the all-night bar serves til 6am, where you can go on speed boat cruises, quad rides, jungle safari's, or watch other scantly clad women on the beach? I know Texas has some real nice weather (I worked in Lewisville for a while), but come one, you guys need to get away and relax.

When you come back, you can release 1.09. But then again, what do I know. I'm just an unemployed dot.com web admin     :D

Revvin. Get a clue.

That was evil con mission plane. In the same style as Captain ICI and the mini Godzillas. Not as cool though. But made for a certain purpose.

You just can't avoid throwing slander about fellow simulator in completely unrelated places?

HT does not code anything anymore. He created a "generator of random versions", which release them with some bug fixes and changes randomly, and adds 1 to version number each time, that is all. Actually HT is in Rio for the last 2 years  :)

Grendel> Looked more like a cheap shot at the Targetware guys who were turning up to showcase their product Target Korea that had been much talked about.

Amongst constant requests for comms like the team at HTC are creating there have also been requests for buffs to be updated for years. The norden has remained the same since WBI and so has the damage model which appears to be just an enlarged fighter damage model and not indicative of the punishment a buff could take. All these things were asked for before pen was put to paper on the design of WBIII and as a paying customer I have to ask why when we've had such fluff as:

  • F86 Sabre
  • Custome plane skins
  • Stars at night correct to any date so you can navigate by the stars
Custom skins are cool but they still don't work properly and the time could have been spent on strat and the bomber systems. Hotseat says he made the F86 in his own time, fair enough but they took away the historical arena for a whole week to cater for one non WW2 plane and advertised on SimHQ like they had some kind of complete Korean era happening when indeed they had only one plane which at the time had half an FM. Lets not even go there on the addition of stars that are correct by date..that sure was a great move   with so much else that needs doing like addign other planes such as the Mosquito which apparently has been ready to go for a while.

Kudos to HTC for adding features that actually benefit the community.
