They have it.  All bases do in a sense.  The flashing base icon on the map.  Ever see a base flashing but no red bar in that sector or red dots anywhere near it?  GV's or NOE aircraft.  IIRC any enemy aircraft within 12miles makes the base flash.  GVs set it off the sirens at 3miles.

I didn't mean to have a doppler type radar capable of tracking ground targets over land.  I don't believe any WW2 radars were capable of this.

I meant for their to be a surface search radar for tracking ships from shore and at sea.
