A Business Proposition for Lazs.

Lazs,

When I get my hands on a system capable of running AH again and a controller, I'll reactivate my AH account (est. time for this is <10 days).

So, with AH films as evidence for verification, what say I fly for your side in AH and you credit me with 1/100 of a beer for every enemy level bomber I kill at an altitude of 15,000' or more?

When I get back in the U.S. of A. you can square the account balance at some airshow, or if you ever wind up in San Diego to see Mookie, or Teufel, etc. (I'm going to be in San Diego for at least 8 months once I get back to the U.S. of A.).

1 beer/100 bombers 'interrupted' before they interrupt your 'in the weeds' battles far below.

Let me know...

Mike/wulfie

It's a deal.

I have allways said that I was gratefull for the guys who seem to enjoy intercepting the silly fluffs high over the field and.....    Even with the four drone fluff heard of the new version I will stick to the deal.

Nothing I like better than flying out of my base to the fur with 20 other guys and looking up and seeing the only con near the field is way up there making a bomb run and then.... he starts smoking...  a lone high alt friendly has just ended his 30 minute flight of boredom and put him out of his misery.... I allways look forward to killing the chute just before it touches the ground.

lazs you have to believe me it's not always boring up there. 8)

Now don't get me wrong - I love being in a big low altitude engagement from time to time just like (almost) everyone else.

What we have here is a difference in mental states.

You can get annoyed by 'cherry pickers' working the edges of your 'action' but I sense that in general you just keep doing what you enjoy and wait for them to leave.

I can think in similar terms. But it can be fun sometimes to turn the tables and 'ruin' their 'game' by (gasp) forcing them to ditch their external fuel tanks and engage a co-alt and/or co-E opponent at *only* 2 to 1 odds in their favor. 8)

You have done similar things - like using the F4U-4 to not allow some guys who work the 'drag and bag' very well as a team (which is always something to be respected I think - teamwork that is...) to do so in total safety.

And one thing I did notice when I got 20 days or so to play AH a fair amount on a weekly basis a few months ago - there's lots of P-47 units in AH that are in to high altitude sweeps and high altitude escort work. 2 interceptors vs. 4 of those guys at 25,000', when your interceptors are not of the 'dive to safety at the first hint of danger' variety so it's actually a 2 on 4 where the end goal is kill the escorts fast enough to get to the bombers or get a good gun pass on the bombers despite good maneuvering and position by the escorts - well I'll cut thru all the small talk and assure you it's not boring. 8)

It's an entirely different game at 25,000'. Come up 1 sortie out of 20 and spank some 'sky accountants' with myself and drex. 8)

Well.... I actually have..  I have worked groups  of three to five with drexie..  I lack the patience to do it much and even if we kill all the cons I don't feel like doing it again for a long time.   I dont go to 25K tho.. more like 15K... these guys just aren't that fun to fight.   Unlike them, I don't feel that alt is any advantage at all... just a lot of space between me and them.  If they want to fight me they will have to come down.

As for the fluffs.... not worth my time.   I will only kill them if there is no time or effort involved and there is absolutely nothing else around.

"As for the fluffs.... not worth my time."

If there not worth your time then dont complaign about em.If there an issue, kill em.Sounds to me like you just want a AW style VOD and anything that detracts from that is something that needs to be changed. Not everyone is a furballer. The strat types would like to see the furballers doing something productive and bash those that dont go for the strat goal.Doesnt mean there right. They just play a diffrent game.
The Flying Circus. Were just like you.Only prettier.
