Do squads really do that MrRipley?  Sad if they do.
Back when I was a squadron leader I coordinated our rotations with some other big squads and we went out of our way to reduce any numbers imbalances.

Funkedup I dont know if they do :)

But from what I've seen lately it wouldn't surprise me.
If rotations cause the imbalance, someone must be making the wrong decisions.. logical isn't it?

I wouldn't be suprised that a very small minority of squads do rotate to the side with the numbers, however, I'll lay odds that the major amount of players that do switch strictly to be on the side with the numbers aren't in squads at all. The "path of least resistance" players, IMO, are the bulk of the problem.

I can see where it might be necessary at some point to limit the switching of sides.   Perhaps some positive incentive instead of restriction.

However, whatever method is decided, it would be unwise of them to single out members of squadrons for special discrimination as opposed to applying any restriction across the player community as a whole.

The best solution that I have ever read about but has yet to be tried is the incentive plan. Give the score mongers a reason to go to the underdog and they will. For some reason its never been tried in the two Sims I have been involved in. Why I don't know, maybe they know something I don't.

Its like your job. If you know your going to get a nice incentive check at the end of the year if you and you fellow employee's do a great job then what do you do?:)

Same for going to an outnumbered country. :D

Has anyone or HTC done analysis on the cause for the numbers imbalance?  Rotating squads have been mentioned but are we certain that rotating squads is the major cause of the imbalance?  Or is it as MrLars says, the individual players?  Or is it both?  I would be curious to see some data on this.

Again Rude, you're wrong. HT has clearly said it's been random for some time already.

As someone who enjoys the variety that switching countries can bring now and then, I'd like to put my vote down for NOT disabling Squad Comms cross-country or having to withdraw from the squad to switch.  There's gotta be a better way....and it's YOUR job to think of it HT, since I'm to lazy and unable to come up with any stupid ideas at the moment :)
