Any CATIA V5 users out there?
« on: August 07, 2002, 04:06:11 PM »
I just have one thing to say about this latest class I'm in.... YUCK!
Knowledgeware.  Powerful tool. Big. Intimidating. But its boring.  I'm surrounded by code geeks too, which is making the class worst.

I used CATIA around 1998-99 but I've forgotten everything.  :)
Mostly I was just converting stuff back and forth from UG and AutoCAD.

Hi Habicht!
Yes, in V5, you have to take a totally different approach to building your models, but it IS for the best.  Its like learning a WHOLE NEW CADD system!

We're still in the Early Adopter stage, we're supporting a small number of workstations at this time, but its only a matter of time before we go completely to V5, as Dassault no longer supports V4 (or rather, they're phasing out V4)

Good to hear from you again!  See you in 2005!
