Have to Recal everytime
« on: May 25, 2002, 02:18:45 PM »
I have to recal my stick, throttle, and pedals everytime I log on. Most of the time its set at full right rudder, and if I forget to recal.... can you say "Ground loop!" heheh When I do try to recal it takes 4 or 5, sometimes more tries to get everything to work right. OK for the tech info....

CH F-16 Fighter stick, CH Throttle, CH pedals.
Vortex sound card upgraded to SB live 5.1, same trouble on both cards.
Tried using a USB adapter to get away from gameport, same trouble.
Windows cal stays dead on, never have to reset that one.

I wouldn't mind recalling every time, but it takes so many tries that it become very frustrating. Once I get it set, it stays till I log out. Any suggestions would be a great help... well almost "any"  :)

Thanks,
Maddog Joe

Go to your Aces High settings folder and look for the file stick.cfg and right click on it.  Select Properties and make sure Read-Only is unchecked.

How do things look in the CH sofware? Do they stay the same or change also?

They stay the same. The only trouble I've had with the CH stuff is sometimes the throttle isn't seen by the CH config program, but seeing I havn't reprogramed my buttons in a long time I don't think that would be the problem.

Thanks for checking in!
