BTW, Takeo Doi, Engineer of Kawasaki said "The quality of maneuverability is decided by size of span loading than size of wing loading.".

It was his theory.

Well, what do you think about this?

I only know this - Ki-61's wing aspect was very high because he thought Span loading important. and higher aspects mean slow roll rate.

it's right...isn't it?

Also, what other effect does Span Loading have?

Thanks,
Mitsu

Ki-64 as a perk? Hadn't thought of that one. I would still prefer a J7W1 as a Japanese perk, but I would settle for a Ki-64   .

Well, actually, it's the Ki-44, Ki-84, Ki-61, and J2M5 that I really want to see.

As for the Ki-44 FM in AH (I haven't looked at the exact numbers) but imagine a plane that has the maneuveribility of the AH190 with the climb rate of the AH109.  Of course top end speed is lower, but it sure would be fun! That's just a 'crude' way of how I envision what the Ki-44s FM would be here. Hopefully the next 1.06 pic HTC let's out to wet our appetites some more will be of one of the Japanese birds listed above.

But from what I have read, wasn't there only a single Ki61-II made with the bubble canopy? (the modified -II, which was actually the -III prototype?) If so, then the razorback is more appropriate IMO.

Here are some pics of Ki-61-II Razorback.

Ki-61-II which "Koku Shinsabu" (Army Aviation Investigation Department?) used.

Ki-61-II in the United States.

Bubble canopy Ki-61-II which 56 Sentai used.

However, I don't know whether Razorback Ki-61-IIs were used by any Sentai.
