Hehehe Pei, happy u got some fun in the P47
I know of this squad, the 56thFG, they fly P47s
The P47 has his strenghts for sure but it's far from ubber. P38 for example, outclasses the P47 in turns/acceleration/speed and climb.
When you limit your flying to B&Zming lower cons, P47 is great. When you are caught lower by a LA7, then it starts to be hairy ... not even talking a yourself vs more fight. Most out accel the P47 or out speed it, and most outturn it. So you always end up making the fast guy who runed you down overshoot and allow the slow turnfighter to catch you and then you end up toasted by one or the other.
I wished the P47 had some canons, it's frustrating when you see 5-7 pings from 400y in a snapshot and see your target keeping flying, when the same thing in a canon plane would have brought instant punition... in the other hand, you have a high rate of fire of "barrage shooting" and a lot of lead.
You just have to love the guy to keep flying it in the MA. When you fly it regularly, you start to get used to it and you furball, and you die
I like AH because most planes are "ubber". When I fly a D9, LA7, pony for example, I end up racking up 10 kills in a couple of refuel and still being alive, because I pay attention to what I'm doing. So I think :"Wow, this plane is great! What do they complain about?, how come their regular pilots don't end up with a 30 K/D".
