CAD Drawings of WWII Fighters
« on: June 19, 2002, 02:20:39 PM »
Does anybody happen to know of a website(s) that has AutoCAD drawings of WWII aircraft as shareware or for purchase? If so, please e-mail me: mike@plas-tal.com.

Thanks,

Michael

Any idea on some of the free sites?:p Especially interested in dxf or dwg files since I don't have 3D Max Studio.
Thanks,
Mike

...and they suck. The really good ones will cost you. Why not just make your own? Scan some high resolution three-views and then rasterize the bitmaps into .dxf files. They'll be two-dimensional, but then you can work on top of them.

Some of these 3D images are nice, and they show a lot of effort, but what is the market for these images? They are not photo realistice (1 or 2 that I saw come close, maybe). Why would you pay $60 or $6 when you can get a nice calendar, for example,  with large, high quality photos for far less than any of the best images advertised? Just curious, it's your money of course :)
