1.10 Buff formation question and suggestion

I did not see this mentioned in the run down of the new formation buff feature in 1.10 - Are the rudder pedals being removed from the gunner positions?  In other words, is a single gunner going to be able to control course changes in all three airplanes?

For formation landings I'd like to suggest having the wingmen fall into trail formation when the wheels come down for landing.

Unless of course the lead plane has gear damage.

Actually I'd hope to see some sort of dot command to set the formation for whatever the situation calls for. Example .formation delta v. or .formation line abrest.
