CT Staff.. need advice; pls!

Gents, you've done some excellent plane matchups over the past weeks in the CT.. and I'd like some help and advice if you're willing....

We're working out the details the 2002 Rumble and the subject of plane matchups for a three frame 'early, middle, late war' format has come up.

Having the entire current planeset to chose from, and with your discerning eyes on 'reasonable plane balance', what planes would you give the allies and axis to play with in each of the three frames?

Ongoing discussion on the subject is here:

my choice would be plane fer plane each round no mixed bag stuff.

109f4 vrs spit 5 or 109e4 vrs spit 1

g2 vrs spit 9 or a5 vrs d11

p51 vrs d9 or g10 vrs p51d

this originally being a us vrs lw thing we could go just that route b ut we have to "fudge" the match ups.

But a mixed bag deflates some of the competativeness. I dont care how a f6f does vrs a g6 or how a 205 does vrs a f4u

But hey im weird id like just d9 vrs 51s or g10 vrs 51s

it's private?? Chit; I had no idea.

specific plane types like the 190D9 vs pony matchup would make me smile and jump for glee... but that prolly won't play well.

How about 2 to a max of three plane types per side per cage... assuming we get about 15 planes per side per cage, and 5 cages total?

assuming we had for the most part diffrent planes available in the different cages, what would the 5 cages look like in plane lineups then? (three diffrent frames, working thru early war, mid war, late war)

I'd like to exclude jets and 'fighters' with rear gun positions, but all the other fighters should be considered, including perk birds if the can 'fairly' be included vs an appropriate adversary.

what about cage specific aircraft? 1 ac type fer each side in a specific cage. But different cages would get different ac.
:)

But yeah 2 to 3 types per gage would werk

round 1

spit 1 hurri 1 vrs 109e4 and 202

round 2

spit ix d11 vrs g2 a5

round 3

p51 d30 vrs d9 g10

just mho :)

I'll let the other guys chime in. You see where im going with it :)
