I never shoot down a wounded plane....I believe in chivalry and nobility among adversaries.

I have to agree as I've been shot down on occasion after I've almost nursed my a/c home to be shot down by some low lifer just wanting to get the points.. thats fine shoot me down after I've fought to get the a/c stable again.. I'll just hunt you down and return the favor.

But I think we are all gents here and we should show kind of respect for a wounded a/c and it's pilot trying in vain to make it back home.

Just a thought..

I'm with Rude on this one. I will back off on any landing plane. Now if he's taking off, well, ....dedmeat!

lol...ahh yes, take the moral high-ground why don't ya?

It is fine to shoot a low and slow guy just taking off...but kill some guy who was just trying to kill you, and all your fellow countrymen and who just manged to limp away and you are somehow unchivalrous.

Gimme a break..all is fair in love and WAR.

As far as killing a wounded bird in real life WW2 went...I would imagine that it would have been considered almost treasonous to let him go.  Afterall...if you didn't he could well have killed you, or your buddy, the next day.

Speak fer yerself, I'm no gentleman in this game
On the other hand, I open doors for women and old folks and always use my manners in public places. But something in here brings out the knuckle draggin, vulching, chute killin villain pent up inside me....

Sheesh maybe I know its not real life?

i'll go for a wounded bird if the oppt'y presents itself and it doesn't seem too  much of a waste... if i get an assist, all is well, i helped someone get a kill that he might not have, if i get the kill, even better.

landing's overrated anyway.

If it has a red icon, and if it is flying, is capable of flying, rolling, floating or even breaking wind... It dies. If it's wounded, it dies with less effort. Courtesy? Kindness? Tell ya what, give your teammates a timely and needed "check 6" to fulfill those noble urges.
