You forget, the H2H'ers are prolly the elitest of all, it is much harder in the h2h than MA where there are endless targets and newb's I remember when I first flew in the h2h i was suprised out how much harder it was than the MA, and in team games on the H2H if your gonna capture bases and stuff you gotta really use teamwork cuz its usuelly 1-2 planes trying to take a feild/sink a carrier by themselves... though most people just furball, lotsa them like to capture feilds like me.

Also they have more experiance in furballing, 1 they furball allot more often 2 they do it with allot less planes, that means theres no allies around for you to drag the guy on your tail to. Once I was flying a zero in the h2h, had 3 kills went into a 4vs1, the battle lasted about 10-15 mins, I shot 1 guy down ran outta ammo and had to ditch cuz of fuel.

Of course you must fly in the fair rooms, like simicade,blkwidow, and my game (I know there are more just cant remember the host's) (usuelly what I host are early war europe theater on a map that I made

or pac theatre which i will host when all the new pac planes come out

good idea cajun. It should be tottaly free though

Or maybe make H2H arenas with up to 32 people in them, for hosts that have REALLy fast connections. After all, they should not take up resources from the AH servers.

Hope you aren't serious. There is no profit for HTC by allowing people by freely use their hosting software for big games.

If you can play with 32 people, or pay $15 and play with 200+, you'll prolly go the free route because "it's good enough".

Seriously, think these things through guys.

Hey, don't get me wrong, as soon as I can afford it, I will sign up for MA, you guys are wonderful and all that.
However, i don't think I will EVER have the time to play AH every day. It just won't happen. There are countless things to do besides playing on the computer. Therefore,for now, I shall stick to H2H.
And I was 1/2 serious, not more

Maybe 16 people for h2h arenas. How does that sound?

The point is that H2H is a promotion for Aces High... the H2H thing is to attract paying customers by giving them a preview. The side effect is that people can play there for free if they can't afford it, it costs HTC resources to program the game for H2H... but you guys are getting it for free. You even have your own forum setup. Be grateful for what you have.

I don't have time to fly every day of the week either. If you think that's all paying customers do, you are very misinformed. I haven't gotten above 10 hours in several (5-6) months. Last tour- 30 days- I flew for a total of 3 1/2 hours.

And $15 a month? If you desire to play it, you should be prepared to pay for it. Get a job if you don't have one, or just skip out on buying something that'll cost you that $15 for that month. I haven't bought new clothes in about 8 months.. and I didn't buy that many to begin with.

As it is, the H2H function is a hand out.. that costs HTC money in development.. and their servers are also the ones that show you the individual server names. Without HTC's servers, you can't play AH H2H except for over a LAN.

So basically, just be happy with what you have.

I dont have much to say because i dont desire to pay to play at al right now, not that this isnt an awesome game, but time is very limited for a senior in high school. but it makes me mad to see all these guys saying how easy it is to pay 15 bucks a month. i could pay that much, but that would leave me down to 5 bucks a week for gas and food. i have my whole life budgeted to how much money i make. but to those guys who say how easy it is to make 15 bucks, u have no idea what an individual might have in their life, u may have it easy but other people might be struggling to make money. and of course ur granted to ur opinion, but u dont need to bash everyone just because they have theirs. tell ur opinion and leave the bashing out of it.

It is easy to get $15 a month... just don't buy something that costs $15.. like I said, I haven't bought any new clothes in 8 months. Shoes? I bought a new pair 10 months ago, the last pair I had lasted me for 2 years.

I didn't bash anyone, but to say that getting $15 is hard... it isn't if you have a job. Unless you're only making $2.75 an hour... in which case you probably work 2 or more jobs and shouldn't have time to play computer games anyway...

You people misunderstand, cajun and I both disagree with the free arena idea now that we've though about it, yet you keep on insisting to tell us why its a bad idea, so if you could read the entire thread instead of just the first post these threads would make more sense and be less frustrating if we could keep the ideas flowing.

Also, someone mentioned entering an H2H arena and getting kicked after a few kills, it happens a lot, the host was probably some "punk" from MA that just got here after his free time was up

$15 is not all that much more than people pay for an Everquest account. It's not unreasonable. The product is excellent.

It's not about "affording it".

It's more of an initial "How much?!?!?!!" kind of reaction. And then ya get the complaints about no realistic countries and planesets.......but with the above pricing scheme I could retort with the line "Well, a realistic arena is actually cheaper.....".

I don't think we need the customers with that mindset, do you?
